Louis Betz Jr.

Founder

President of the Board

Louis Betz has been working in governmental affairs in the state of Florida for the past 25 years. After he got a double lung transplant two years ago he decided to do something to make the process better for those coming after him, and he founded MTML. To read about Louis's experience click here

Cynthia Henderson

Board Member

Cynthia began her career as an attorney and public affairs consultant. She was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to serve as the Secretary of Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Secretary of the Department of Management Services.

During this time Cynthia’s was tasked with implementing two gargantuan online programs where she was successful in passing legislation and negotiating contracts to initiate People First and My Florida Marketplace. She also created integrated online licensing and phone systems to help implement and execute these programs. In the midst of these priority-driven projects, Cynthia was running daily state agency functions, managing multi-million dollar budgets for each agency as well as thousands of staff members.

She is a Florida Bar Attorney, Florida Real Estate Agent, Florida Real Estate Broker, and was licensed Legal Insurance Agent with Florida Department of Financial Services.

Jeff Johnston

Board Member

After more than 15 years in Florida’s lobby corps, Jeff founded his firm, Johnston & Stewart Government Strategies in 2019.  Jeff’s leadership, competitive spirit, and understanding of the state’s legislative and political processes has been instrumental in providing strategy and direction to some of Florida’s largest, most recognized businesses.

 

 On a personal note, Jeff’s mother, Angela, lives with Type 1 Diabetes and has undergone several organ transplants.  He understands the complexities and necessity of these surgeries and is a true advocate for a saving lives via organ donation. Jeff serves on the board of Balanced Life Warriors, a not-for-profit that works with veterans suffering from PTSD, and is a past board member of the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Victoria Betz Yost

Board Member

Victoria Betz Yost was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Communications and minor in Marketing, she continued her education and received a Social Media Marketing Graduate Certificate from the University of Florida.

After graduating from UCF, Victoria began working at Cott Beverages, which was recently bought out by Refresco, the largest independent bottling company in the world. Victoria has held various project management positions within the company’s Commercialization and Marketing department over the past six years, gaining knowledge of various aspects of the beverage industry. Victoria was also chosen to go through the Ken Blanchard Situational Leadership training, building knowledge and experience to lead within her organization. 

After witnessing her father experience the current organ transplant process, her focus is to improve lives of future patients like her father.

Missy Timmins

Board Member

Missy Timmins is currently awaiting a kidney transplant. After graduating from University of Alabama she became a legislative assistant with the FloridaDepartment of Labor and Employment Security and then chief of staff for state Senator Jack Latvala. With an understanding of government policies and a firsthand experience of the transplant process, Missy offers a unique insight to the process and what changes need to be made.
